Vivacious rural youths of Palliyuthu and surrounding villages joined hands and established a rural voluntary Service Organization called Navarasam Narpani Kala Mandram in 1978 with a strong passion for evoking awareness among rural mass in all angles. Initially they started Navarasam Nursery School on June, 1978 and they wished to impart education to the downtrodden youths by establishing Navarasam Arts and Science College, a co-educational institution, on June, 1994. Later in 1999 they focused on the empowerment and elevation of women community and changed the college as Navarasam Arts and Science College for Women.
